Actuarial Prophet Modeler
My client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Actuarial Modeler to lead key modeling functions across a diverse life and annuity portfolio. This role is ideal for an ASA or FSA with strong modeling expertise who wants to play a hands-on role in financial reporting, model governance, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead model development efforts to support actuarial projections for planning, cash flow testing, principles-based reserving, ALM, and ERM.
- Oversee and mentor a team of actuarial associates responsible for valuation, reporting, and analysis.
- Maintain, validate, and enhance Prophet 360 models for life and annuity products.
- Ensure accuracy of reserves, projections, and model results through rigorous validation and controls.
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT to support audits, improve automation, and strengthen model governance.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes impacting valuation, including GAAP LDTI and statutory updates.
- Provide leadership in assumption setting, experience studies, and methodology documentation.
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and governance within the actuarial team.
Qualifications:
- ASA or FSA designation required.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience, including leadership in modeling or valuation.
- Hands-on experience with Prophet 360 or similar actuarial modeling software (AXIS, MG-ALFA).
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL or Python preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
