VP, Credit Analyst - Project Finance
A Wholesale Commercial Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their Project Finance team in New York. The bank is growing the Credit Risk team in their New York City office. This role offers ownership over an established portfolio consisting of new and existing transactions. The successful candidate will have experience conducting Credit Analysis, preparing credit reports, and covering Renewable Energy, Data Centers, and Infrastructure.
The team in New York is a tight knit group of roughly 100 employees spanning multiple business lines including Investment / Deal teams, Operations, and Risk Management. Joining this group provides full visibility into the full investment process - this is not a siloed role.
Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis and loan reviews for Project / Structured Finance (special focus on Renewable Energy)
- Prepare credit reports for new loans and process renewals in the assigned portfolio
- Independent monitoring of credit quality of assigned Project Finance portfolio ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations
- Monitor operating and financial performance of borrowers on an ongoing basis and prepare monitoring reports
- Keep up to date with major trends in the Project Finance industry and provide support to Head Office in preparation of annual industry reports
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Project / Structured Finance Credit Analysis at a bank ideally within Renewable Energy
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics and / or MBA
- Formal bank credit training program or commensurate experience
Schedule
- Hybrid - 3 days in office / week
