VP - Cash Sales, Transaction Banking

We're currently representing a European bank in Hong Kong looking to add a VP to their cash management business in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the bank's cash management business with a diverse client portfolio across North Asia
  • Originate, structure, and close complex cash management deals, including liquidity management, payments, collections, and digital treasury solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including CFOs, Treasurers, and Finance Directors.
  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Product Managers, and Implementation teams to deliver seamless end-to-end client solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth client needs analysis and provide consultative advice on optimising working capital and treasury operations.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the transaction banking space.
  • Represent the bank at industry events, client forums, and internal committees to promote thought leadership and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk frameworks, and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CTP, CFA) are a plus.
  • Strong experience in cash management, transaction banking, or corporate banking, with a proven track record in sales and client acquisition.
  • Deep understanding of cash management products, treasury operations, and liquidity structures across Asia-Pacific markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple stakeholders across regions.
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, APIs, and fintech partnerships is an advantage.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and client-centric mindset.
