Position Overview:
The Vice President of Finance & Accounting will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. This role is critical to ensuring the firm's financial health and supporting its growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in wealth management or financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all functions.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, including profitability analysis and growth planning.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Background in wealth management, investment advisory, or financial services required.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
