Trade Application Support Engineer
About the Role
We're looking for a Trade Application Support Engineer to join a fast-paced technology team supporting mission-critical systems in the digital asset and trading space. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line production support for trading, risk, settlement, and related business functions.
- Monitor system health and performance, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex applications (Java, Python) and collaborate with development teams on fixes and enhancements.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with global teams for seamless follow-the-sun support.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in Production support or engineering roles, ideally within financial services or trading environments.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language
- Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to cryptocurrency or electronic trading platforms.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and crypto protocols.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices.
- Relevant certifications in software development or IT support.
