Technical Pricing Actuary
Selby Jennings have partnered with leading commercial and specialist insurance carrier, seeking a Qualified Pricing Actuary to join its growing Technical Pricing team. This role focuses on project-based pricing initiatives, including the development and implementation of new pricing tools using Python and Hx Renew. You'll oversee projects end-to-end, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple internal teams, particularly within other pricing functions.

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent)
- At least 4 years of experience in Non-Life Pricing, ideally within the Lloyd's/London Market
- Strong technical and programming skills (e.g., SQL, GLM, Power BI, Python, VBA)
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to long-term, project-based initiatives focused on building brand-new pricing models and tools from the ground up.
- Develop end-to-end technical solutions using Python and other technologies to support underwriting decision-making and management information (MI).
- Collaborate closely with underwriters to ensure tools are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs - this is not a back-office-only role.
- Report directly to the Build Manager, working within a growing and strategically important team.
- Take ownership of pricing tool development and maintenance across the wider group, ensuring consistency and innovation.
- Support the team's evolution into a global resource, with potential for international collaboration and impact.
