Systems Engineer
I'm working with a deeply technical research and engineering group that's been operating at the core of the Solana ecosystem for years. This team has contributed to key open-source projects, shipped on-chain products, and run some of the highest-performing validators in the network. Their background spans low-latency systems, distributed infrastructure, and high-frequency trading environments.
About the Role:
They're looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team in New York. This is a hands-on role focused on building and optimizing the systems that power critical infrastructure in Solana. If you're passionate about low-level systems, performance tuning, and distributed architectures, this is a strong fit.
What You'll Do:
Design and scale distributed systems that support high-throughput workloads
Build and optimize core infrastructure components in Rust and C
Lead benchmarking, load testing, and stress testing initiatives
Develop advanced monitoring and observability frameworks
Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to eliminate performance bottlenecks
What They're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
Proficiency in Rust and C for building high-performance systems
Strong foundation in distributed systems architecture and benchmarking
Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tools
Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Bonus Points:
Experience working with Solana at the protocol, validator, or node level
Background in high performance computing (HPC) or ultra-low latency systems
