Job Title: Sr Director, Treasury Operations
Location: Chicago (Hybrid)
Salary: $215k - $350k + bonus
Summary:
This is a rare opportunity to join the Operations team at a growing bank where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming core operational functions with direct visibility to the Group Head of Operations. You'll lead key areas including middle office, member support, payment processing, and deposit accounting, ensuring a seamless, reliable, and customer-centric experience for member institutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in banking and cash management operations, a strong command of financial systems and controls, and a proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Lead office, member support, and transaction desk teams to ensure seamless daily operations and exceptional service delivery.
- Evaluate and redesign operational workflows, introducing automation and scalable solutions to reduce manual touchpoints and improve efficiency.
- Modernize transaction-related processes to deliver faster, more transparent, and reliable service, acting as a champion for member satisfaction.
- Drive transformation initiatives with comprehensive change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
- Build and mentor a strong, service-oriented team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Maintain deep knowledge of banking operations, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ACH, wires, reconciliations, settlements), ensuring audit readiness and operational integrity.
- Partner with sales, product, finance, technology, compliance, and risk teams to support onboarding, resolve member issues, and advance new initiatives.
- Act as a champion for the customer, constantly evaluating processes, systems, and policies to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business or a related field, MBA is preferred
- 20+ YOE in banking operations, with a focus on cash management, financial transactions and member/ customer service functions.
- 8+ years in leadership/ management
- Experience in regulated environments is required.
- Deep technical expertise in cash management products, transaction processing, reconciliations and related banking operation.
