Job Title: Senior Performance Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $130k-$190k base + bonus

Summary:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a high-impact team at a top global bank, where you will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction, performance oversight, and transformation initiatives of banking coverage groups. The position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, offering broad exposure to senior leadership while driving planning efforts, tracking business performance, enhancing operating models, and improving reporting and decision-making frameworks through data and advanced tools. The ideal candidate will bring experience within a commercial banking or financial services environment, a strong understanding of coverage or commercial banking dynamics, and a proven ability to analyze performance, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders; they will also possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives within a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Help shape and support strategic direction for banking coverage teams, including involvement in planning cycles and longer-term growth initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate key change initiatives across the business, from concept through execution, including building out supporting analyses and recommendations
  • Track business performance and key initiatives, ensuring progress against growth targets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Assist in refining and implementing business structures, workflows, and sales approaches across coverage groups
  • Prepare and deliver materials for senior leadership updates, including business reviews, strategy discussions, and ad hoc requests
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing enhancement of internal tools and reporting platforms, including advanced data and AI-driven capabilities
  • Establish clear reporting processes to provide visibility into pipeline activity, client engagement, and overall performance metrics
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure coordination across teams and maintain alignment on priorities and execution

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience within a banking, financial services, or related corporate environment
  • Strong familiarity with how banking teams manage corporate and institutional client relationships
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including experience with forecasting, performance tracking, and data interpretation
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear, senior-level presentations and reporting materials
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leadership
  • Experience supporting or driving process improvements, operational enhancements, or transformation-related initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines without sacrificing quality
  • Self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a lean, collaborative team
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical execution
