A reputable financial services provider with a strong national presence and international affiliations is currently seeking an experienced IT Risk Manager to join its risk and compliance function. The organization operates across multiple locations and emphasizes digital innovation, sustainability, and operational resilience within a collaborative and forward-looking culture.
Role Overview
The IT Risk Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that IT-related risks are properly identified, assessed, mitigated, and reported across the institution. The position is embedded within the broader risk management team and supports regulatory alignment, internal controls, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal IT risk requirements
- Conduct risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring activities across technology functions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define mitigation strategies and implement controls
- Maintain and update internal documentation, policies, and procedures related to IT risk
- Prepare and deliver IT risk reports for internal governance bodies and affiliated entities
- Advise business units on IT risk matters and support risk awareness initiatives
- Monitor relevant risk indicators and support integration into enterprise-level monitoring systems
Candidate Profile
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related technical discipline
- Professional experience in IT risk, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry
- Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, ISO 22301); familiarity with supervisory requirements such as DORA, BAIT, MaRisk, and EBA guidelines is an asset
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Fluency in German and advanced English required (both written and spoken, C1+)
