My client is a growing financial services holding company oversees multiple insurance businesses and provides centralized asset management, actuarial, and accounting services. They develop investment strategies, manage financing and acquisition activities, and support liability and capital modeling across its insurance subsidiaries. Product lines include annuities, life insurance, and supplemental health products, with substantial annual premium volume.
About the Role
The Senior Corporate Accountant supports monthly and quarterly financial schedule preparation and reconciliations. Responsibilities include drafting journal entries, reviewing general ledger activity, managing intercompany transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The role works closely with internal teams and reports to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Reconcile and review general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations.
- Produce reporting from the general ledger system for management.
- Assist with monthly/quarterly accruals and annual GAAP consolidation support.
- Submit electronic fund transfers and perform other assigned accounting tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of financial accounting/reporting experience.
- Strong Excel and technical accounting skills; MS Office proficiency.
- Experience in financial services or insurance preferred.
- Detail‑oriented, analytical, confidential, and able to work independently.
