About the Role
My client, a leading consulting firm specializing in Health & Benefits, is seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant to support its growing portfolio of public sector and Taft-Hartley clients, while also expanding into the private sector. This role is ideal for a strategic advisor with deep expertise in employee benefits, financial analytics, and stakeholder engagement across complex plan environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements for public entities, multi-employer trusts, and emerging private sector organizations.
- Design and evaluate health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
- Conduct financial analyses including cost projections, funding strategies, reserve calculations, and trend analysis.
- Advise clients on compliance with ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with actuaries, analysts, and client service teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to boards, trustees, and senior leadership.
- Support business development efforts including proposal writing, presentations, and relationship building.
- Mentor junior consultants and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in health & benefits consulting, with a strong focus on public sector and Taft-Hartley plans.
- Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, underwriting, and analytics.
- Strong understanding of benefit plan design, funding mechanisms, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CEBS, ASA, FSA) preferred.

- Familiarity with private sector benefit trends and benchmarking.
