About the Job
We are partnered with a leading food distribution company that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team in Irvine, CA. This is an opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, audit support, cost analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate external audit activities and assist with audit preparation.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data.
- Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for management.
- Support compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams on key initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Assist with system enhancements, automation projects, and reporting improvements.
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial data.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online; ERP experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be based in or willing to commute to Irvine, CA for an onsite work environment.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $80,000 - $140,000
