Sales Leader - Data Center Software Solutions

This is a high-impact, revenue-focused role responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion of a leading data center software solutions portfolio across Japan. The role encompasses full accountability for sales performance, order targets, and business development efforts across strategic areas including DC white space, mechanical and electrical domains, and associated software services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end sales and revenue performance across the region; accountable for quarterly and annual targets.

  • Develop go-to-market strategies, business plans, product roadmaps, and marketing initiatives to enable growth in assigned territories.

  • Lead sales enablement efforts: create actionable playbooks, deliver coaching, allocate resources, and define geographic priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and related ecosystems, with deep understanding of power and cooling technologies.

  • Collaborate with application engineering and business units to design customized solutions, especially in software offerings for data center environments.

  • Ensure governance and quality assurance of solution delivery, including DCIM tools, cooling optimization software, and associated services.

  • Build and manage a regional community of practice for data center software; drive knowledge sharing and regular cadence with local teams.

  • Represent the organization as a thought leader through professional networks, conferences, and publications to support external branding.

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and technical training teams to align strategies and improve solution adoption.

  • Analyze market data and trends to provide strategic insights and adapt the sales approach accordingly.

  • Maintain strong alignment with local business leadership and contribute to new offer development with product management teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience: 8+ years in enterprise software sales, data center infrastructure, building management systems, or related fields. Demonstrated success in solution selling, business development, and managing complex multinational deployments.

  • Skills: Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, P&L ownership, excellent presentation and communication capabilities

  • Languages: Fluent in Japanese (native or near-native) and advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken)
