Risk Analyst/Associate (prime services)
Our client, a large sellside bank are looking to gorw their risk team within their prime service offering. This role will be part of a wider risk team and focused on both credit and market risk.
What does the role involve?
- Proactively monitor client portfolios and transactions to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Draft and review client agreements, clearly outlining liabilities, responsibilities, and expectations, while incorporating clauses that mitigate risks such as termination rights, dispute resolution, and indemnification.
- Regularly evaluate client financial performance and market trends using risk assessment tools and metrics to maintain strong and healthy relationships.
- Maintain transparent communication channels with clients and conduct periodic feedback sessions to address issues before they escalate.
- Design and implement risk management strategies for high-risk clients, including organizing scenario drills to prepare the team for potential challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across risk, legal, and compliance teams to foster a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
- Develop and maintain a structured risk assessment framework that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring risk profiles for priority clients are reviewed and updated regularly.
What experience do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related discipline.
- Prior experience in risk management, prime services, investment banking, or similar fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset for efficient issue resolution.
