Responsable du Controle (RC)

Our client is an established international AIFM, supporting investment structures across a diverse range of alternative asset classes. With a strong presence in key financial centres and a growing Luxembourg platform, the firm works closely with asset managers, institutional investors, and fund vehicles to deliver regulatory, operational, and compliance expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated RC for regulated investment structures, ensuring adherence to applicable AML/CFT obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess compliance risks, providing guidance and escalation support on AML-related matters where required.
  • Review screening results, investigate potential matches, and ensure appropriate documentation and remediation actions are carried out.
  • Prepare and review periodic compliance reports, regulatory submissions, governance documentation, and responses to external reviews.
  • Support board members and senior stakeholders on compliance matters, including interactions with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
  • Maintain and enhance internal AML/CFT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with evolving regulations.
  • Perform oversight and due diligence reviews of external service providers and delegated arrangements.
  • Deliver compliance awareness initiatives and contribute to regulatory monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of compliance obligations and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in governance forums, committee meetings, and other compliance-related discussions as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within AML/CFT, compliance, regulatory oversight, or a similar function within the Luxembourg funds industry.
  • Strong understanding of Luxembourg investment fund regulations and AML/CFT requirements.
  • Experience working with delegated models, third-party providers, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, board members, auditors, and regulators.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential; additional European languages would be considered advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
