Relationship Manager, Strategic RIA Group (Northeast)

ROLE: Regional RIA Specialist (Northeast)

Overview:

A large traditional asset manager is seeking a senior professional to lead engagement with its most sophisticated Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Family Offices across the Northeast region. This individual will be responsible for building senior-level relationships and positioning the firm's investment capabilities-particularly fixed income strategies, with complementary experience in alternatives. This person will sit remotely in their territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow relationships with high-value RIAs and Family Offices across the Northeast.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with firm leadership, CIOs, research teams, and due diligence professionals, articulating the firm's investment capabilities and long-term value proposition.
  • Identify and deploy resources-including investment professionals-to position the firm for success within complex advisory organizations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities and inform strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationship economics and communicate insights, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive product endorsements, map decision-making structures, and collaborate with sales teams to monetize opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and client events, acting as a trusted advisor on market and competitive themes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, with deep knowledge of fixed income strategies; experience in alternatives preferred.
  • Proven success in RIA or family office coverage, with strong understanding of advisory platforms and distribution models.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of capital markets and investment fundamentals.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative, with strong strategic and execution capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Series 7 license preferred.
