Quantitative Researcher / Quantitative Trader (Amsterdam / Remote)
An established proprietary trading firm is looking to hire experienced Quantitative Researchers and Quantitative Traders to support the continued expansion of its systematic trading platform across highly liquid markets, with a focus on futures and/or Spot FX.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a lean, collaborative team where individuals have genuine ownership over the full lifecycle of strategy development, from idea generation through to production deployment and live performance monitoring. The firm offers a flexible setup (Amsterdam-based or remote) alongside strong infrastructure and a culture built around iteration, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Role Overview
- Develop, test, and implement systematic trading strategies across liquid asset classes (futures / Spot FX)
- Conduct alpha research leveraging statistical techniques, probabilistic modelling, and machine learning where appropriate
- Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover inefficiencies and enhance signal generation
- Collaborate closely with trading and technology teams to ensure robust deployment of strategies into production
- Monitor live strategies, evaluate performance, and continuously optimise models
- Contribute to the research pipeline by proposing new ideas and improving existing approaches
Candidate Profile
- 2-10 years of experience in quantitative research and/or systematic trading
- Demonstrated experience building and running systematic strategies within liquid markets (futures, FX, or similar)
- Proficiency in programming (typically Python; C++ is a plus)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and feedback-driven environment
- Motivated by ownership, impact, and the ability to directly influence PnL
