Production Reliability Engineer
A global quantitative trading firm is seeking a Production Reliability Engineer to support and enhance its trading infrastructure. The firm's teams of traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers collaborate to analyze global markets and develop predictive trading models using advanced statistical and data mining techniques.
The salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 base with a discretionary bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve complex technical and operational problems in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Collaborate with traders, developers, and support teams to optimize systems and resolve issues.
- Own and enhance production environments to ensure performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain tools for configuration, deployment, monitoring, and process management.
- Monitor large-scale trading systems and proactively address operational challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure and deployment workflows.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience with Python and shell scripting.
- Background in DevOps, preferably within a trading or high-performance computing environment.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and operational best practices.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Experience with C++ is a plus but not required.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and committed to continuous improvement.
