Job Title: Private Credit Operations Associate

Location: NYC (on-site)

Salary: $135k - $155k + bonus

Summary:

This role offers a chance to be part of a high-performing Global Credit Operations team within a top-tier investment firm. You'll play a critical role in supporting the private credit business across multiple strategies, including direct lending, opportunistic and infrastructure credit, and asset-backed finance, while driving the execution of complex transactions from start to finish. With a strong emphasis on direct lending, you'll collaborate with deal professionals and cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, Tax, and Portfolio Management to ensure operational excellence. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate fast-paced, high-stakes environments with confidence.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the execution of transactions involving privately held assets, coordinating wire transfers (internal and external), FX hedging, KYC processes, bank account setups, and other operational steps in partnership with the Deal Team, internal/external legal counsel, Finance, and Tax.
  • Collaborate closely with the Deal Team, Portfolio Management, and Finance to actively monitor and manage the Direct Lending deal pipeline.
  • Support the oversight of cash management and financing facilities across multiple fund structures, ensuring optimal liquidity and funding.
  • Manage cash and wire processes for deal fundings, including thorough review of fund flows and legal documentation.
  • Oversee the settlement of trades across various asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate execution for both external transactions and internal transfers.
  • Serve as the escalation point for resolving cash and position reconciliation issues across Direct Lending entities, ensuring prompt resolution of discrepancies.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on technology upgrades and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering professional development and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5-7 YOE with public & private credit asset classes
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Deep understanding of loan and credit facility documents
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft office suite
