Manager, Actuary (Large Group Pricing)
Overview:
Fully remote opportunity for an ASA/FSA to lead pricing strategies for large group health insurance products. This role will provide analytical expertise to develop competitive rate structures, ensure regulatory compliance, and support financial performance objectives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement pricing methodologies for large group products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with Finance, Underwriting, and Product teams to analyze performance metrics, including claims experience, trend analysis, and profitability.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of rate filings to regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop models and tools to support underwriting decisions and improve pricing accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and enhance product performance through data-driven insights.
- Guide actuarial staff involved in large group pricing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- ASA required; FSA preferred.
- 6+ years of Commercial Health actuarial experience
- 1+ year of prior leadership or management experience
- Experience with SQL, SAS, or similar data querying tools preferred.
- Skilled in data modeling, automation, and trend analysis.
