L/S Credit Analyst
Job Description:
Our client is a $30Bn fund that is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Long/Short Corporate Credit Analyst to join a dynamic fundamental credit team in New York. The ideal candidate will work across High Yield (HY) and distressed credit as a generalist, providing tactical insights and strategies to optimize our investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis and research on corporate issuers across various sectors.
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in high yield and distressed credit markets.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic data, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop and implement investment strategies.
- Prepare detailed deliverables for the investment committee
- Manage and mitigate risk through thorough due diligence and ongoing monitoring of investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, with a focus on high yield and distressed credit.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
