Investor Relations/Business Development Associate
Our client is an established private investment firm with a proven track record and strong reputation. As the platform continues to grow, the firm is seeking to add an Investor Relations/Business Development Associate to support fundraising initiatives, expand key investor and industry relationships, and help drive the firm's long-term growth strategy.
The Investor Relations/Business Development Associate Will Be Responsible For:
* Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective investors, including family offices, RIAs, high-net-worth individuals, consultants, and institutional allocators.
* Supporting fundraising initiatives through investor outreach, meeting coordination, due diligence requests, and ongoing pipeline management.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with investment bankers, intermediaries, business owners, executives, advisors, and other referral sources.
* Sourcing and developing new investment opportunities through both intermediary-driven and proprietary channels.
* Expanding the firm's network through targeted outreach, relationship-building efforts, and industry engagement.
* Representing the firm at conferences, annual meetings, trade shows, investor events, and networking opportunities.
* Managing and optimizing CRM systems to ensure efficient pipeline management, reporting, fundraising activity, and relationship tracking.
* Preparing and maintaining investor presentations, fundraising materials, marketing collateral, and investor communication materials.
* Leveraging technology and AI-driven tools to improve sourcing efforts, investor targeting, prospect identification, and business development workflows.
* Conducting market research and supporting the development of investment themes, fundraising initiatives, and industry coverage strategies.
* Performing initial reviews of investment opportunities and providing thoughtful assessments regarding strategic fit and attractiveness.
* Tracking market activity, investor sentiment, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities.
* Supporting direct outreach initiatives to both prospective investors and business owners.
* Working closely with investment professionals and senior leadership throughout fundraising, investor relations, origination, and deal evaluation processes.
The Investor Relations/Business Development Associate Should Have:
* Approximately 2-8+ years of relevant professional experience
* Experience within private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, valuation services, accounting, consulting, investor relations, capital raising, or a related financial services environment.
* Strong understanding of financial statements, transactions, investment concepts, and private markets.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage effectively with executives, business owners, investors, and intermediaries.
* Demonstrated interest in investor relations, fundraising, business development, and private markets.
* Experience utilizing CRM systems and business development technology platforms.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships simultaneously.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership of fundraising, sourcing, and relationship management initiatives.
* Ability and willingness to travel regularly for meetings, conferences, investor events, and networking opportunities.
* Prior private equity experience is preferred but not required.
