Investment Operations Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven professional to join our team at a leading multi-billion dollar hedge fund. This position offers exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation, precision, and strategic thinking are paramount.
What You'll Be Doing
- Review and reconcile investment accounts across U.S. and global markets for both equities and fixed income
- Apply investment accounting principles using advanced industry tools and platforms
- Manage and update security master data, pricing, and corporate actions (e.g., mergers, dividends, stock splits, bond interest)
- Support daily operational workflows, monitor trade settlements, and resolve discrepancies
- Contribute to process enhancements through technology and automation
- Collaborate with internal teams (trading, accounting, compliance) and external partners (custodians, brokers)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (preferred fields: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math-but not required)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Genuine interest in financial markets and investment operations
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
Nice-to-have's
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and VBA/macros.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in leveraging automation tools such as Python, Power Query, or AI-driven solutions to streamline processes.
- Hands-on exposure through internships or academic projects in financial analysis or data-driven research.
