Investment Analyst
Our client is an employee-owned investment advisory firm based in Santa Monica, CA. Our client provides investment management and advisory services to institutional clients (e.g., endowments, foundations, pension plans, and select high net worth clients). Our clients' expertise includes investment research, asset allocation, investment policy development, portfolio structure, manager research & selection, and risk management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Our client seeks a person to conduct manager research and evaluate direct co-investments in credit, real assets, and private equity. Specific asset class coverage may vary with resource needs.
- Manager Research: Source, interview, and evaluate new investment managers for firms fund portfolios. Provide written meeting documentation and notes on research meetings summarizing the thesis and next steps.
- Co-Investment Analysis: Assist the research team in the review of direct investment opportunities.
- Portfolio Management: Assist the investment team in the management of portfolios
- Portfolio Monitoring and Management: Conducting regular updates with investment managers, assessing results and continued suitability for firms portfolios.
- Business and Operational Review: Assist with operational due diligence on investment managers.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a college degree and 2-5 years of work experience. Experience with credit investments and strategies preferred. Candidates must be proactive, detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and have a passion for financial markets and investing. Strong verbal, writing, and analytical skills are required, as well as strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Compensation:
Compensation range is $120K -$150K and is based on experience. Health and profit-sharing benefits, and discretionary annual bonus included.
