The Opportunity

A rapidly growing international company is looking for a senior technology leader to take ownership of its IT landscape and software development function. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring technology initiatives support business growth, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business objectives, improve internal processes, and transform requirements into practical technology solutions. Alongside managing development activities, you will oversee core IT operations, cybersecurity, business systems, and external technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organisation's technology roadmap in line with business objectives.
• Partner with business teams to identify operational challenges and implement effective technical solutions.
• Lead and support software development initiatives, ensuring projects deliver measurable business value.
• Manage technology integration projects resulting from business expansion and acquisitions.
• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
• Set priorities, allocate resources effectively, and drive technology projects to successful completion.
• Promote best practices across technology, security, and system governance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technology leadership, software development, engineering, or related technical environments.
• Previous experience managing developers, engineers, or technical teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes and translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Experience overseeing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and third-party service providers.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and operate independently.
• Based within reasonable commuting distance of a major business hub in the Netherlands.

Ideal Background
