Head of Risk Management

Position Overview:
Our client, a top global venue management group is actively searching for a new Head of Risk Management. This senior leader will be responsible for driving risk management across live events and venues, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational integrity. You will create risk assessments, insurance programs, and contract reviews to reduce exposure. The position also manages claims and regulatory oversight while collaborating with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and drive a company-wide risk management strategy that supports business objectives and ensures proactive identification of potential threats across global operations.
- Collaborate with executives and regional leaders to embed risk awareness into planning processes and key decision-making for live events and venue operations.
- Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations for concerts, festivals, and touring productions, implementing strong safety measures for crowds, security, and emergency preparedness.
- Design and manage international insurance programs, negotiating favorable terms for coverage such as liability, event cancellation, and business interruption.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of claims, from reporting and documentation to resolution, working closely with insurers, legal teams, and external administrators.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry standards, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years risk management experience.
- 2+ years in sports/entertainment industry.
- Skilled in insurance design and incident response.
- Experienced in global safety risk management.
