About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established, multi-billion dollar real estate private equity firm with a strong track record. Known for its institutional rigor and deep industry relationships, the firm is launching a new real estate credit initiative that will expand its investment capabilities and capitalize on its existing infrastructure and network.

Position Overview:
We are partnering with our client to identify a Head of Originations to lead the sourcing and execution of new real estate credit investments. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact initiative at its inception, while benefiting from the resources and reputation of a top-tier platform. The role will report directly to a highly respected leader in the market and play a central role in shaping the strategy and building the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the origination of real estate credit investments across asset classes and geographies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, brokers, borrowers, and other market participants to drive deal flow.
  • Take a hands-on role in the underwriting, structuring, and vetting of new transactions, including financial modeling and investment committee preparation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across acquisitions, asset management, legal, and capital markets to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor market dynamics and identify opportunities aligned with the firm's strategic goals.
  • Represent the firm externally to enhance visibility and sourcing capabilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of experience in real estate credit, private equity, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing real estate debt transactions.
  • Strong analytical and underwriting skills with deep knowledge of real estate fundamentals and capital structures.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
