A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced VP/Director-level FX Sales professional to join its European Markets franchise. This individual will be responsible for covering a portfolio of institutional clients across Europe, delivering high-quality foreign exchange solutions and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a senior role within the FX Sales team, acting as a trusted partner to institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, corporates, and financial institutions. They will work closely with trading, structuring, and research teams to deliver tailored FX risk management and execution solutions across spot, forwards, swaps, and options.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow senior institutional client relationships across Europe, serving as a primary point of contact for FX-related needs.
- Deliver strategic FX solutions, leveraging market insight and the bank's global platform.
- Drive client engagement through proactive idea generation, market commentary, and structured trade opportunities.
- Partner closely with FX Trading, Structuring, and other Markets teams to ensure best-in-class execution and client outcomes.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to broader franchise growth initiatives.
- Ensure all activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in FX Sales within an investment bank, at VP or Director level.
- Proven track record covering institutional clients in European markets.
- Strong product knowledge across FX spot, forwards, swaps, and options.
- Excellent client relationship management and commercial acumen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with senior external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages (particularly French or Spanish) are an advantage.
Location
The role can be based in London, Paris, or Madrid, with regular interaction across regional and global teams.
