Fundraising & Investor Relations (HNW / Inst) | Equity L/S Fund

We are seeking a highly driven Investor Relations professional with fundraising experience to support capital‑raising efforts across institutional investors and high‑net‑worth (HNW) channels. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sourcing LPs, leading fundraising cycles, and managing sophisticated investor relationships for hedge funds or alternative investment managers. This role will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and leadership team to expand our investor base globally.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Capital Development

  • Independently lead fundraising initiatives for the firm's Equity L/S strategies, including identifying, sourcing, and engaging institutional investors, family offices, HNW clients, and private banks.
  • Drive the full fundraising lifecycle: target mapping, outreach, pitching, follow-ups, diligence coordination, documentation, closing, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of prospective LPs, including asset managers, endowments, pensions, sovereign wealth funds, FOFs, multi‑family offices, and UHNW networks.

Investor Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for existing and prospective LPs, providing proactive communication and high‑touch relationship management.
  • Deliver performance updates, portfolio commentary, market insights, and ad‑hoc requests in a timely and precise manner.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, due‑diligence sessions, and site visits; prepare customized materials reflecting investor needs.

Marketing & Materials

  • Develop and refine fundraising materials including pitchbooks, fund decks, DDQs, RFPs, fact sheets, quarterly letters, and other investor reporting.
  • Maintain investor CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of interactions, pipeline progress, and reporting metrics.
  • Work with internal teams (PM, Risk, Operations, Compliance) to ensure accuracy of marketing content and alignment with regulatory standards.

Internal Collaboration

  • Support senior management in shaping fundraising strategy, capital‑raising KPIs, regional prioritization, and channel expansion.
  • Provide competitive landscape analysis and market intelligence to optimize fundraising positioning and product messaging.
  • Assist in planning AGMs, investor briefing sessions, and new strategy launches.

Requirements

Experience

  • 5-10 + years of fundraising or institutional sales experience in hedge funds, alternative investments, or private markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise capital (not just client servicing); successful track record with institutional or HNW channels strongly preferred.
  • Strong existing investor network is a significant plus.
