About the Opportunity
On behalf of a privately owned international investment group undergoing a major finance‑function professionalisation, we are seeking a hands‑on and detail‑driven Financial Controller to take ownership of multi‑entity accounting, financial administration, and period‑end reporting across several Dutch and international entities.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys structured, high‑quality administration and thrives in an environment where processes, tooling, and controls are rapidly improving.
Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will manage day‑to‑day accounting, maintain multiple administrations, and deliver accurate quarterly and annual closings. Working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, you will form part of a small but impactful finance team supporting a complex group structure with multiple BVs, funds, and intercompany relationships.
You will also contribute to tooling, process improvements, and workflows that support a scalable and future‑proof finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial administration across multiple entities.
- Deliver quarterly and annual closings, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
- Support tax processes, audits, and external accounting partners.
- Maintain intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to automation, process improvements, and stronger internal controls.
Candidate Profile
- Hands‑on experience in financial administration, accounting, or controlling.
- Strong experience with accounting software and multi‑entity environments.
- Demonstrable experience preparing monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
- Comfortable working with intercompany structures and reconciliations.
- Structured, detail‑oriented, and motivated by accurate, high‑quality administration.
- Proactive and independent, able to operate within a small and collaborative team.
- Fluent Dutch preferred, with strong communication skills in a local regulatory environment.
