Data Centre Engineer
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Install, rack, cable, and deploy servers, network equipment, and infrastructure hardware.
- Coordinate with remote technicians and service providers across regional data centre locations.
- Monitor and manage data centre power, space utilisation, and capacity planning.
- Maintain structured cabling standards and ensure high-quality cable management practices.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, cables, and infrastructure assets.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, maintenance, and break-fix activities.
- Lead or contribute to data centre expansions, equipment migrations, and colocation deployments.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and infrastructure records.
- Support logistics activities, including shipping and coordinating equipment deployments across the region
Key Requirements
- Experience working within enterprise-scale or high-availability data centre environments.
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure and hardware components.
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems, including copper and fibre technologies.
- Familiarity with power, connectivity, and communications cabling standards.
- Experience troubleshooting cabling issues using appropriate testing equipment.
- Understanding of change management and infrastructure deployment processes.
- Basic server installation, configuration, and operating system knowledge.
- Excellent documentation and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.

- Experience supporting colocation facilities across multiple geographic locations.
- Exposure to financial services, trading, or low-latency technology environments.
- Previous experience leading infrastructure projects or coordinating regional deployments.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and data centre lifecycle management
