Position Overview

The Controller will serve as a key member of the Finance leadership team, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with SEC reporting requirements, and enhancing financial controls across the organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting leader with experience in public company reporting, manufacturing environments, and fast-paced operational settings. The Controller will manage a growing accounting team, partner closely with executive leadership, and play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee preparation of 10‑Q, 10‑K, and 8‑K filings, ensuring full SEC, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance.
• Accounting Operations
• Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Oversee cost accounting processes and collaborate with manufacturing sites to ensure accuracy of standard costs and inventory valuation.
• Implement process improvements, systems enhancements, and automation initiatives.
• Leadership & Strategic Partnership
• Lead and mentor an accounting team, supporting professional growth and operational efficiency.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
• Prepare supporting analyses for board presentations, audits, and investor-facing materials.
• Audit & External Relationships
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and readiness for ongoing audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public company and manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience in food & beverage or CPG manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams and operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• ERP implementation or optimization experience is a plus.
