Client Services Associate
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding securities services queries, including custody, clearing, settlements, and corporate actions
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with institutional clients (e.g., asset managers, hedge funds, banks)
- Proactively communicate updates on transactions, issues, and service enhancements
Operational Support
- Monitor and resolve trade lifecycle issues across equities, fixed income, and other asset classes
- Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure timely settlement and reconciliation of trades
- Track and escalate breaks, fails, or discrepancies, ensuring swift resolution
Platform & Service Support
- Support clients in navigating the securities services platform, including onboarding and ongoing usage
- Assist with system-related queries, issue troubleshooting, and user training
- Gather client feedback to improve platform functionality and service delivery
Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular reporting to clients (e.g., transaction status, KPIs, service metrics)
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, issues, and resolutions
- Support preparation of service review materials and client presentations
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and internal policies
- Identify operational risks and escalate potential control issues
- Support audits, reviews, and client due diligence requests
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- 1-4 years of experience in securities services, custody, fund administration, or financial operations
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle (execution, clearing, settlement)
- Familiarity with asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives
- Experience with custody platforms, OMS/EMS systems, or middle-office tools is a plus
