Client Service Executive - Employee Benefits (Broker Side)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Client Service Executive to join our Employee Benefits brokerage team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of employer clients, serving as their strategic advisor and primary point of contact for all benefits-related services. You will lead the delivery of renewal strategies, vendor coordination, and ongoing service excellence, ensuring clients receive tailored, compliant, and cost-effective benefits solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of mid-to-large market clients.
  • Oversee the annual renewal process, including carrier negotiations, plan design analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (compliance, underwriting, analytics, wellness) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance on benefits trends, regulatory changes, and cost containment strategies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client communications, reports, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate client meetings, presentations, and open enrollment support.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services and deepening client relationships.
  • Maintain strong carrier relationships to support competitive pricing and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in employee benefits brokerage or consulting.
  • Proven success managing client relationships and delivering strategic benefits solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Health & Life Insurance License (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with public sector clients (cities, counties, school districts) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with firms such as Gallagher, Lockton, Alliant, or similar brokerages.
  • Background in compliance, analytics, or wellness strategy is a bonus.
