Position Overview:
Our client, a top tier insurance carrier is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Claims Examiner to their team! This role will be responsible for handling 3rd party bodily injury and property damage claims. The ideal candidate will have experience handling general liability claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into complex bodily injury and property damage claims, ensuring accurate assessment of facts, coverage, and exposure.
- Analyze insurance policies and contractual agreements to determine coverage responsibilities, identify risk‑transfer opportunities, and issue well‑supported coverage communications.
- Apply strong claims‑handling discipline by promptly evaluating liability and damages and establishing appropriate indemnity and expense reserves.
- Drive claims toward efficient closure by actively negotiating and implementing effective settlement strategies that balance cost and outcome.
- Provide consistent, high‑quality support to insureds and brokers, keep underwriting informed of significant developments, and perform additional departmental duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims.
- Proficiency in claims management software.
- Strong analytic and communication skills.
