Business Manager - Front Office Technology
Summary
A leading investment management organization is seeking a Technology Business Manager to partner closely with senior technology leaders supporting a systematic trading and investment technology environment. This role will drive strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functional technology projects, improve operational processes, and establish documentation standards across the technology organization. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, portfolio managers, vendors, and other corporate functions, helping ensure projects are delivered effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technology leadership in managing strategic initiatives and ongoing projects across the technology organization.
- Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, manage reporting, and support PMO functions.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and technology documentation
- Build and manage internal knowledge repositories, wikis, and operational documentation.
- with business stakeholders and technology teams on planning, requirements gathering, functional design, and project execution.
- Assist with technology budgeting, financial tracking, and resource planning activities.
- Create business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, presentations, and technical diagrams.
- Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and internal departments such as legal, procurement, and operations.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Support governance, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across the technology function.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of total experience with at least 5+ years of experience in a Technology Business Management, Technology Operations, PMO, Business Analysis, or related role.
- Demonstrated experience developing executive presentations, business plans, process documentation, and technical diagrams
- Experience building relationships with internal teams, business partners, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira is preferred.
- Experience working closely with trading desks and portfolio managers is highly preferred
Expected Total Compensation: $180,000-$250,000 base + Cash Bonus
