Selby Jennings is exclusively partnering with a high-growth fintech firm to appoint a Business Development Manager - Fixed Income & ESG Data Solutions

The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic sales team within a rapidly scaling business that is transforming the fixed income & ESG data landscape. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships within existing accounts. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and impactful client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across both new and existing accounts
  • Build and maintain a strong, repeatable sales pipeline
  • Lead and manage product trial processes with prospective clients
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations that clearly articulate the platform's value
  • Negotiate and close deals at optimal price points
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasts using Salesforce
  • Share insights to help shape sales strategy and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the product continues to meet client needs

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, or similar roles, ideally within Capital Markets or Financial Services
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and a proven ability to build relationships across buy-side, sell-side, and advisory firms
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
