AVP, Pricing Actuary
Our client, a leading P&C insurance carrier with a strong national presence, is actively seeking to expand their actuarial team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organization known for its innovation and commitment to excellence in the insurance industry.
In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Actuary and collaborate closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in shaping strategic decisions. You'll be responsible for supporting the personal lines ratemaking function, as well as contributing to the development of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the Personal Lines Actuarial ratemaking function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business goals, while directing long-term actuarial strategies and managing senior actuarial teams.
- Provides insights into the health and profitability of the Personal Lines portfolio, supports forecasting and planning, and collaborates across functions to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Oversees insurance department filings, ensures adherence to data governance policies, and supports audit, model development, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Owns talent management, including hiring, development, and performance, while representing the company in industry forums and maintaining awareness of market trends and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
- FCAS Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of management with 10+ years of Actuarial work experience
