Asso/Snr Asso - Business Development Southern Europe
Selby Jennings is currently representing a global investment firm with significant assets under management, and are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join a team supporting business development and client service activities across Italian, Spanish, and French institutional clients and prospects. This role spans multiple asset classes, including Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Private Debt.
The successful candidate will initially undergo an induction period in London or Zurich before relocating permanently to Rome, Italy. From there, they will lead coverage of Italian clients and support engagement with Spanish and French clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business development and investment teams to design and implement tailored investment solutions, particularly within private debt.
- Prepare pitch books, proposals, and marketing materials for institutional clients.
- Review and validate content from cross-functional teams for accuracy and relevance.
- Coordinate and lead implementation projects related to client solutions.
- Conduct market research and performance analysis to support business development efforts.
- Develop original content for new business activities, including presentations and fact sheets.
- Provide input on enhancing marketing materials and client communications.
- Support ad hoc projects and analyses for the Private Debt team.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business, or Marketing preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial services (private markets, investment banking, consultancy, or asset management a plus).
- Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Native-level Italian and fluent English required; Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.
- Client-focused mindset with acute attention to detail.
