As an Application Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of a diverse suite of production trading applications. This role sits at the core of the firm's trading operations, requiring direct collaboration with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to diagnose issues, build automation, and enhance the resilience of mission‑critical workflows in a fast‑paced global environment.
Responsibilities For Application Reliability Engineer
- Provide advanced support for production trading applications, ensuring seamless daily operation
- Act as a primary technical partner for trading teams, enabling fast and effective issue resolution
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation to minimize manual intervention and improve system reliability
- Monitor the health of systems, scheduled jobs, and application performance
- Troubleshoot complex, time‑sensitive issues across Linux‑based environments
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve systemic or recurring issues
- Participate in an on‑call rotation, including occasional weekend coverage
Requirements For Application Reliability Engineer
- 3+ years of experience in Application Reliability, SRE, Trading Support, or a similar technical role
- Strong programming background in Python, C++, or Rust
- Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, performance tuning, and debugging
- Experience with configuration management, version control, and automated deployment systems
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in high‑pressure situations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, for collaboration with international teams
