Business Analyst (Trading / Financial Markets)
Our client is a fast-paced organisation operating within the trading and financial markets space, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to support product operations and drive key initiatives across the product lifecycle.
Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality product outcomes in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end product initiatives from concept through launch and post‑release optimisation
- Support project delivery across requirements gathering, business analysis, UAT, training, and go‑live
- Own and prioritise product backlogs in alignment with business strategy, stakeholder needs, and regulatory considerations
- Define and track KPIs to assess product performance and drive continuous improvement
- Produce clear documentation including functional specifications, workflows, and process maps
- Identify risks and dependencies early, proposing mitigation strategies where required
- Provide operational support, coordinate issue resolution, and assist with release planning
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong understanding of software development and modern web technologies
- Experience working with Agile teams and backlog management tools
- Exposure to cloud-based systems and architectures
- Familiarity with APIs and integration protocols (e.g. REST/SOAP, FIX, or similar trading interfaces)
- Knowledge of capital markets or financial regulations is advantageous
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Mandarin language proficiency required
