Annuity Valuation Actuary

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and driven ASA-level Actuary to join our Annuity Valuation team in a hybrid capacity.
Position Summary:
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the valuation and financial reporting of our annuity products, with a focus on innovation, accuracy, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, hands-on experience with actuarial modeling tools, and a proven ability to lead and mentor a small team. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and review the valuation of annuity liabilities under various accounting frameworks, including statutory, GAAP, and/or IFRS.
- Lead and support a team of actuarial analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial models, with a strong preference for experience using Prophet.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, risk management, and product development to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Analyze complex actuarial data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help implement best practices in valuation and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an actuarial function.
- Strong preference for experience with Registered Index-Linked Annuities (RILA) or Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA).
- Proficiency in programming or data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, or other actuarial modeling software.
- Hands-on experience with Prophet is strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative and proactive approach to work.
