Position Overview:
A national, vertically integrated real estate investment management firm is looking for highly analytical and detail-oriented Asset Management Analyst to join the real estate investment team, with a dedicated focus on seniors housing properties. This role will support the strategic oversight of a growing portfolio of independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze operational and financial performance of seniors housing assets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy, NOI, rent growth, and expense ratios.
- Identify underperforming assets and assist in developing corrective action plans.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for asset-level forecasting, budgeting, and valuation.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Conduct market research to assess competitive positioning, demographic trends, and regional demand drivers.
- Benchmark asset performance against industry standards and peer properties.
- Collaborate with third-party operators to review budgets, capital plans, and operational strategies.
- Participate in regular performance reviews and site visits to ensure alignment with investment goals.
- Support the development and execution of asset-level business plans, including capital improvements, lease-up strategies, and disposition planning.
- Assist in evaluating refinancing, recapitalization, and exit opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment analysis, or related field; experience with seniors housing is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Argus or similar tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passion for seniors housing and understanding of its unique operational and demographic dynamics.
