A leading global investment platform is building out an elite Macro & Fixed Income AI engineering function and is seeking a Macro AI Tech Lead to spearhead the development and adoption of advanced generative AI capabilities across its macro trading organization.
This is a high‑visibility leadership role for someone who excels at the intersection of AI/ML engineering, markets, and team building - driving real impact inside a fast‑paced, data‑driven investment environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead & Scale an AI Engineering Team focused on delivering AI/ML solutions directly to Macro, Rates, Credit, and FX trading teams.
- Architect LLM‑based systems and agentic workflows that directly support portfolio managers, analysts, and traders.
- Drive firm‑wide adoption of cutting‑edge AI and data science tools within macro investment workflows.
- Partner with senior PMs and strategists to translate trading needs into scalable, production‑ready AI solutions.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging LLM methodologies, integrating best‑in‑class techniques into high‑impact use cases.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of full-time experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or applied data science roles.
- 5+ years of management or people-leading experience, managing and mentoring high‑performing engineering teams.
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM‑based applications at scale, including architecture, integration, and optimization.
- Highly proficient in Python, SQL, and modern ML/AI tech stack; familiar with vector databases, RAG systems, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Understanding of AI agent architectures, multi‑agent systems, and modern LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
- Experience with Macro or FX domains - economic analysis, instrument knowledge, and direct partnership with PMs/analysts. (Highly preferred)
- Comfortable driving change and building greenfield capabilities in fast‑moving trading environments.
