Responsibilities
- Generate actionable equity ideas across sectors with a strong emphasis on public equities.
- Conduct deep fundamental research: business models, competitive positioning, industry structure, financial analysis, and valuation.
- Monitor markets, news flow, earnings, and thematic developments relevant to active trading strategies.
- Provide concise, decision-oriented research tailored to a high-performing trading style.
- Support ongoing coverage of technology and semiconductor-related themes, alongside broader generalist work.
Candidate Profile
- 1-3 years of professional experience (maximum) in long/short equity research (hedge fund or similar high-quality platform).
- Strong idea generation mindset with curiosity across sectors.
- Sector specialists are welcome if looking to transition to a generalist role, provided there is some exposure to:
- Technology
- Semiconductors
- High-growth / high‑beta equity markets
- Demonstrated interest in markets, trading, and fast-moving investment decision-making.
- Exceptionally strong academic background:
- Top 20 U.S. undergraduate institution required.
- High intellectual horsepower, strong work ethic, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight.
