Acquisitions Associate
Position Summary:
The Acquisitions Associate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investment opportunities in the multifamily and BTR sectors. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and a passion for real estate investing. The Associate will report to the Director of Acquisitions and work closely with the development, asset management, and capital markets teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Source new acquisition opportunities through broker relationships, off-market strategies, and industry networking
Analyze multifamily and BTR properties using detailed financial modeling and valuation techniques
Conduct market research, demographic analysis, and competitive property assessments
Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee
Assist in managing the due diligence process, including coordination with legal, third-party consultants, and internal teams
Track and monitor deal pipeline and transaction progress
Stay up to date on trends in the multifamily and BTR markets, particularly in the Sun Belt and Southeast regions
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, owners, and other industry professionals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master's in Real Estate is a plus
2-4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a related role
Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel, Argus, CoStar, etc.)
Knowledge of multifamily and BTR asset classes, including deal structuring and value drivers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Local market knowledge of the greater Nashville area is preferred
