Senior Actuarial Director
We're working on a senior actuarial leadership opportunity with a growing health insurer for someone who knows the ACA Individual Marketplace inside and out.
This person will help shape pricing strategy across multiple states, guide rate development and filing efforts, and work closely with executive leadership on decisions that impact growth, profitability, and market positioning.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading ACA pricing strategy and rate development across a multi-state footprint
- Evaluating morbidity trends, risk adjustment performance, membership growth, and competitive market dynamics
- Providing pricing recommendations and financial forecasts to senior leadership
- Partnering with teams across Finance, Product, Network Strategy, and Analytics to support business decisions
- Helping determine where the organization should invest, grow, or adjust strategy based on market performance
- Overseeing and developing a team of actuaries, while mentoring future leaders within the organization
- Serving as a key voice in discussions around ACA market performance, emerging risks, and long-term growth opportunities
What they're looking for:
- FSA strongly preferred, ASA required
- 10+ years of health actuarial experience
- Deep ACA Individual Market pricing experience required
- Background leading rate development and filing work
- Experience managing actuarial teams and influencing executive stakeholders
