Operational Governance & Controls
Overview
This role supports the design, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise governance frameworks across international operations. The position ensures business activities align with regulatory obligations, internal policies, and organizational objectives by monitoring compliance, analyzing processes, and recommending improvements. The role partners closely with regional leadership and cross‑functional teams to strengthen transparency, accountability, and operational effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
Governance Framework Support
- Support the development, rollout, and ongoing maintenance of business governance frameworks, standards, and policies.
- Ensure governance practices are consistently applied across geographies and functions.
Process Analysis & Risk Identification
- Review and assess business processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, gaps, or non‑compliance.
- Recommend practical improvements to enhance governance rigor and streamline operations.
Compliance Monitoring & Assurance
- Track adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare periodic compliance status reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits and drive timely remediation of findings.
Data Analysis & Executive Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize governance and compliance data.
- Translate complex findings into clear, executive‑level insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support governance initiatives, audits, and reviews.
- Serve as a trusted partner to local leadership, promoting consistent governance practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on evolving governance, risk, and compliance best practices.
- Proactively contribute ideas to strengthen frameworks and improve business oversight.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in business planning, governance, project management, compliance, or related roles.
- Experience supporting complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives or large‑scale organizational change.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) are a plus.
