THE ROLE
A leading technology-driven firm is seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join its Systems team. This role involves working with complex workloads in a high-performance environment and contributing to the evolution of global storage infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

Designing, deploying, and standardizing storage solutions across multiple global regions (AMER/EMEA/APAC)
Evaluating project scope and IT risks to develop mitigation strategies
Optimizing, tuning, and troubleshooting storage systems to resolve performance and reliability issues
Driving innovation and continuous improvement in storage service delivery
Developing secure practices for compute, storage, and systems administration

THE CANDIDATE

7+ years of experience managing large-scale storage environments in fast-paced settings
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet service-level agreements
Collaborative, results-oriented mindset with a focus on using the best tools for the job
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems such as NetApp FAS, AFF, ASA
Familiarity with other platforms like Hitachi, HPE, EMC, PURE, ExaGRID
Proficiency with NetApp cDOT, Systems Manager, AIQUM, and ONTAP CLI
Deep understanding of storage protocols (NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, S3, iSCSI) for NAS/SAN
Experience with hardware upgrades, SAN fabric design, and disaster recovery planning
Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware) and their storage interactions
Scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell for REST API integrations

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN fabrics
Familiarity with data replication, backup strategies, and service migrations
